Akemi To You Studio
Overview
Akemi To You Studio is an independent product brand I founded to explore illustration, hand lettering, and product design beyond traditional client work. The shop features small gifts and accessories, including greeting cards, keychains, apparel, stickers, and handcrafted pieces—designed to bring playful illustration and bold color into everyday objects.

Approach
Each product begins as an illustration or lettering concept before evolving into a physical object. I design the artwork, explore materials and production methods, and develop packaging and presentation that reflect the brand’s playful visual style.
The studio also allows me to experiment with new techniques, from acrylic painting and resin work to laser cutting and digital illustration, while considering how designs translate across different formats and materials.
Outcome
Through Akemi To You Studio, I bring ideas from concept to finished product, gaining hands-on experience in product design, manufacturing, packaging, and retail presentation. The project reflects my interest in creating thoughtful, tactile objects that connect illustration, typography, and design.

From acrylic keychains and rear view mirror hangers to greeting card designs and vinyl stickers, there is something for everyone at Akemi To You Studio. I absolutely love bringing my illustrations and lettering to life with vibrant pops of color and a fun way to display them!
Displayed are two of the many resin-set decor trays I have painted using acrylic paint. These trays are perfect for holding loose jewelry or having a designated place to keep your keys after walking though the door.
